Boost Your Thesis with a Scholarship!
The Internal Auditors Association Finland (IIA) supports the recognition and professional expertise of the field, including encouraging research in the area.
Our association aims to annually award scholarships for completed theses related to internal auditing.
Scholarship DETAILS
🔹 Scholarships are awarded based on discretion (typically around €500 each, up to 5 per year). Scholarships are tax-free income.
🔹 All scholarship recipients are featured on the association’s website and in communications. We also encourage recipients to write an article about their research topic and findings. This article, published through our channels, contributes to the professional development of internal auditing.
We’re also happy to assist during the thesis-writing process! Feel free to reach out for help with focusing your research topic or arranging interviews.
Scholarship Criteria
🔹 The thesis is expected to address internal auditing, but the subject may also relate to areas such as corporate governance, risk management, internal control, quality management, or compliance. In these cases, however, the thesis should indicate how the subject has been addressed from the perspective of internal auditing or how it could be utilized in auditing activities.
🔹 The thesis may be a master’s thesis, professional higher education thesis (YAMK), or doctoral dissertation.
🔹 The thesis must have been completed no more than one year prior to the application.
🔹 The thesis must not have received any other grants or scholarships.
🔹 The language of the thesis can be Finnish, Swedish, or English.
🔹 Membership in the IIA is not required, but we recommend exploring our free student membership!
